Nestled in the heart of the United States turquoise trade region just outside Albuquerque, New Mexico Stone Art is a family-owned lapidary studio and online gemstone dealer dedicated to providing quality stones for artists, silversmiths, wire wrappers, jewelry makers, and collectors.

Our journey began in the 1980s when Ken discovered a passion for unique, high-quality gemstones and the art of silversmithing. Over the years, that passion grew into a family tradition. Today, his son Matt carries on the craft through the lapidary side of the business, bringing skill, creativity, and a natural talent for transforming rough stone into beautiful finished pieces. The next generation, Henry, is beginning his own journey into jewelry making, adding a fresh perspective and creative energy to the family craft.

With three generations involved, New Mexico Stone Art is more than a business — it is a shared passion for the beauty and artistry found in natural stone. While Ken focuses on marketing, education, and sharing his knowledge with others, the entire family works together to bring you a carefully selected collection of gemstones and handmade creations.
