Collection: White Buffalo

White Buffalo is a rare, striking gemstone found exclusively near Tonopah, Nevada. Although commonly called "White Buffalo Turquoise," it is actually a dolomite-and- calcite mineral lacking the copper that gives true turquoise its blue or green color. First discovered in 1993, it is prized for its dramatic contrast of creamy white stone webbed with dark black or brown chert matrix. Because of its unique beauty and limited source, it is highly valued by Native American silversmiths and collectors alike.
