Collection: Dendrites

Dendrites in a matrix stone are natural, tree- or fern-like mineral formations that grow inside or on the surface of a host rock. Despite looking exactly like ancient plant fossils, these branching structures are completely inorganic. They are classified as "pseudofossils" because they are formed strictly through geological and chemical processes rather than biology. Lightweight they make good pendants or bracelets.
